march work
monthly theme: [shock]
Work can be many things...the internet usually prescribes a handful of steps and I fear the over-generalizations made that seem to simplify the decidedly un-simple action of healing.
Posts that reduce problems into steps probably mean well, but they gloss over the personal aspect of every single human situation. So please keep this in mind when approaching my own suggestions. I hope they lead you to discover more questions to ask yourself. I hope you find your own path to healing through a balance of active and passive work.
Below are my personal suggestions, but please take and run with what you need and leave the rest:
journal prompts:
What’s been coming up for me this month? Anything reminding me of a year ago?
Have I noticed any patterns (sleeping, eating) or changes in my body?
Am I holding stress anywhere?
What have been my energy levels been like? How do I handle situations that surprise me?
Do I like this reaction or can I work to change it to be more intentional and compassionate rather than reactionary?
Did I spend 2020 looking inward or outward?
Where would I like to look, moving forward? What did I work on most this year?
Emotionally?
Physically?
Mentally?
Communally?
Career-wise?
Relationally?
Theoretically?
Spiritually? From all of this information, what do I believe I need to work on the most moving forward?
What was my relationship to the news cycle in 2020?
Was this a healthy relationship for me?
How can I set up a routine that works for me to stay informed but grounded enough to actually effect change in my corner of my community?
